I'm still on iOS 6.1.3. Wonder if it's worth (or possible) going to 8.0 ?
negatoryAnyone give up your jailbreak to upgrade to iOS8? I'm considering it due to some stability issues with my jailbroken 5s. I'm kinda tired of keeping up with all the jailbreak tweaking, anyway.

So handoff is working between iOS devices, but none of the iOS -> OS X features seem to be working.
I'm running the latest Yosemite DP, got nothing![]()
I literally haven't read shit on what's new in iOS (and I basically forgot what the heck was talked about in the keynote), what are the top bullet points on what the big draw is? I installed 8 on my gf's 5s yesterday and installed swiftkey, she seemed content, but was curious what else was new. She's one of those people that constantly says she doesn't need the latest and greatest, and once she saw/used swiftkey she was hungry for more, hah.
Quick reply from inside any application (so you don't need to go to imessage every time)
Ability for applications to communicate with one another
Widgets in notification center
Bunch of Siri improvements
Custom Keyboards
Favorite and recent contacts now in the app switcher
Time Lapse camera mode and exposure adjustment
Detailed battery usage summary
Persistent VPN
MAC Address randomization for unknown WiFi networks
Bunch of nice mail improvements
Spotlight is more powerful
HomeKit (home automation)
Those are the big ones that I can think of off the top of my head. There are other improvements as well
Awesome, thanks for that. Now about those widgets...what can she do with the customization there? I also saw only 2 keyboards in swiftkey, dark and white. Can she purchase more colors somewhere, didn't see a buy button (but was only in there for a few seconds).
4S? Don't do it.
Gimme a Back button so I can just return to an e-mail/text after clicking a link instead of exiting the browser, relaunching e-mail/text, and searching for the original message.Quick reply from inside any application (so you don't need to go to imessage every time)

Edit:
Handoff which is pretty cool (iOS devices work seamlessly with a Yosemite... hope they release something for windows)
Numerous iMessage improvements

my 4s is running it fine and my battery seems to be back to how it was. The first couple of days it was draining stupid fast, even just sitting idle. Now though it seems golden.

I call BS.
EVERY review I've read on the internet has said that iOS8 on the 4s is a dog.
I'll pass on being a guinea pig and will wait for 8.1 to update.
My iPad 2 has been downloading the update the last 3 hours and says it won't be done for another 21 hours. But I've been this before. The download has failed 9 times already.

Developers were the guinea pigs. That's what closed betas are for.
Today's iOS 8.0.1 update proves customers are guinea pigs with how it turned iPhones into iPods.
