Introducing Smell-O-Vision

I could think of a few shows that this is a very bad idea for...

Dirty Jobs for example.

I could see HP and the likes getting into this business - what better way for profits than to be able to whip of 50 gallon barrels of the fluids needed for this and sell it for $30 an ounce.

well i suppose i could piss off a few friends by sending fart smells through msn...

This has been done several times before. Nothing to see here, move along people,

Yea, this is nothing new. It's been tried and failed miserable many times before.

Although, the cooking channel would be awesome, but they'd never ever get the scents correct for something like that. War games with smoke and stuff would be nice until you found some dead bodies. Very limited applications, and I'd have it turned off 99.9% of the time.

Wonderful, now instead of annoying ads that have use sound to draw your attention, we'll have ads that smell like ass to get your attention to their crappy assed candles.

Well, maybe the hippies and new agers would buy it. Nature lovers who like to sit in front of a screen can smell nature from the comfort of their own home. Maybe some virtual tree hugging as bonus.

Meanwhile the real nature lovers are hunting, jogging, throwing balls, and boating without a computer screen.

And the rest of us, who freely admit that we'd rather be inside, will play our games without needing to smell things like rotting and decapitated corpses.

for real.

This idea stinks! :D

I've heard about Smell-O-Vision for a while.
Exactly, my computer makes it's own smells, though typically immediately before it stops working for a while. Typically they are small clouds of Magic Smoke, because when the cloud is released the computer stops working.

I am not sure but overheated silicon (heated to the point of being gaseous) and melted copper have very distinct smells.

But then people would know that 2 Girls 1 Cup was fake.

Anyway, DOOM would be awesome, the smell of sulphur and rotting meat still burning in my mind.
