I've been at this for a while and I still get no where. This works in fine FireFox, and IE 5.5. But will not work worth a damn in IE 6 XP SP2. If I goto to: www.microsoft.com and click on "Clip Art" or "Templates" I've got a redirect to the correct page mabye once, every other time it does NOT work.
The address for Clip Art is: http://g.microsoft.com/mh_mshp/130
The Template address is: http://g.microsoft.com/mh_mshp/290
The message box that comes up is:
"Do you want to save this file?"
Name: default.aspx
Unknown File Type
office.microsoft.com"
Making a new filetype entry in associations does absolutely nothing. It's something with the browser from what I can tell. I run no filtering software that blocks anything. Security controls are fine, etc. If you further check out where the address for Clip Art leads it's:
HTTP Status Code: HTTP/1.1 301 Moved Permanently
<HTML>
<HEAD><TITLE>Document moved</TITLE></HEAD>
<BODY><H1>Object Moved</H1>This document may be found <A HREF="http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/templates/default.aspx">here</A>
</BODY>
</HTML>
Ever since I've installed SP2 for XP I've had this problem. There are no updates for IE/patches that I don't already have either. That same box keeps coming up with the "Save File" when it's SUPPOSE to redirect to the link. Any ideas? Thanks
