intermittent BSODs - audio driver?

I've been getting several BSODs and here is the reoccuring info:

DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

***STOP: 0x000000D1 (0x0052005C,0x00000002,0x00000000,0xB7EDDBAD)

***RtkHDAud.sys - Address B7EDDBAD base at B7E7c000, Datestamp 455ab4f4

My setup:

Biostar Tforce 550 Se (latest bios)
X2 3800 @ 2.4 ghz
2x1gb
8800GTS

Judging from the BSODs, RtkHDAud soudns like its an audio driver problem. Anyone know of any solutions? Can I use nvidia's drivers?

Nvidia's drivers definitely don't work. I tried them with the Tforce 550 board.

I just ran into issues with my Evga 590 chipped mobo and that Realtek HD driver causing crashes in Vista. After another more serious issue surfaced after choosing an optional Windows update for the nVidia SATA driver totally hosed the installation, I reinstalled Vista and did NOT use the Realtek HD audio driver from the CD and/or website...just used the the native HD audio drivers already part of Vista...sound is working fine and no crashes....yet... after 24 hours.
It walks like a duck so for my money...it's a friggin' duck.

I had exactly the opposite experience. Native Vista drivers did not work at all, but the latest from Realtek worked great.
