DigiTimes, citing industry sources, says that Intel will demonstrate its 45nm native quad-core "Harpertown" processors at Computex 2007.

Intel will only demonstrate Harpertown-based products in its own booth, and the 45nm native dual-core processor, Wolfdale-DP, will be absent from the show, added the sources. In an update to previous reports, Barcelona-based products will be displayed in both AMD's and its server partners' booths.

I want to see how fast this thing encodes a 1080p movie. Who wants to bet it's faster than Barcelona's "almost real time?"

Intel is just really hammering AMD latley

Barcelona will be a released (or at least release-ready) product by Computex. Harpertown won't be release ready for a few months. The comparison would be similar to last year's Computex and Conroe vs. Kentsfield! (Conroe was due to be released within weeks after Computex, while Kentsfield wasn't released until much later in the year. So there were plenty of Conroe systems, yet only the Intel booth had Kentsfield.)

Common misconception. The Opteron (server) version of Barcelona will paper-launch at Computex. The Phenom stuff we will use isn't supposed to be here until very late this year, or maybe early next.

Yeah, a server paper launch means actual launch to come soon after. And the Digitimes article does specify that it will be "server partners" that have Barcelona chips. Therefore, it makes sense for server partners to have chips.

Nehalem adds an on-die memory controller CSI.

i know as well as HT and blah blah blah. Heard it before. Googled it a lot, but the point isn't what tweaks Nehalem will bring.

I know what happened. When it was posted on the [H] website, it said:

When in reality, Intel's quad core solutions will be dual die until Nehalem.
