I was just wanting to start a topic if anyone has heard anything for what will be available this summer? I'm hoping for haswell but that's wishful thinking. you think another return of the 3930k or the 3770k?

From the main thread over at the forums most think another 3770k/3930k deal with an SSD combo again. Though if they did do Haswell I'd be A-OK with that! A nice 8 core E5 Xeon would also be nice. :p

i agree, i wouldn't mind getting like a 3960 or something. e5 xeon would be tight as hell

Prayingggg for haswell. But we'll have to wait and see what happens I guess =D.

You job needs to be in a list of employers verified by intel. Mostly computer stores, bestbuy, walmart, microcenter employees.

i doubt we'll see haswell. they said that it might get updated in today's update or in the 2nd one in the next couple weeks. if they're announcing it, i doubt we'll get haswell as launch date won't be until june. i'm crossing my fingers for a 39xx processor + mobo for dirty cheap. that would be the sweetest of sweet. need a reason to replace my 3770k

Yeah, I am going to try to be 1st in line when this goes live. I skipped a few great deals but I do believe it is time to upgrade and hopefully this will be an awesome CPU again. Deal went live around 5/31 last year.

Still running a I7-960 on x58. Which is great, but I am getting the itch once again...

Well..definitely nabbing a 3930k...Bah..Was praying for haswell but this is still good.

I was all ready for a 4770K but that isn't happening until at least the winter deal. You'd think Intel would want the people selling the products to use their latest offering. I guess not!

Instead we are given a choice of a processor released over a year ago, or one released almost two years ago. And while the 3930K is decent it is slightly out dated and the damn motherboards are still $200+

Well, considering that I just picked up a 3930k from microcenter for $550, this is an AWESOME deal.

A 3770k even at the highest tier at $85 is amazing as well.

I wish these were regular retail prices. ;)

Crap, only limited to a deal a person again. I believe it was 2 years ago, you had the choice of getting a deal per category. It would be Processor or mobo + processor and SSD.

I totally forgot about these deals. I bought the 3930k and it is currently running like a champ. But, I think the wifey may need a 3770k to replace an aging AMD setup...

i sold my previous 3930k cause it just didn't benefit me. with my current 3770k and 2700k, i might just consider selling whatever processor i decide to get and one of my two setups and just upgrade to haswell.

Don't have a family member that works retail anymore.
Need a 3930K for a workstation build. :(

Which retail boxes qualify for Intel Retail Edge? Trying to find out which place I need to find a friend's son/daughter in :)

office max, office depot, staples, best buy, costco just to name a few.

GL!

So I work for a company on the list, but not in sales. Is that enough to qualify or not?

All they need is a pay stub. My old managers used to participate even though the electronics department wasn't even in their scope.

WTB: 3770k

I do miss the days of being a Rock Legend, although I don't miss working in retail.

Yes, I never had a problem. You just need a paystub from the company. You don't need to work in electronics.

Tried to register, but they wanted store information. I work remote so I don't have that and I'm not going to distort anything to save a few bills so I'm done.

im in for like 4. i used to work for staples and all the non techs im giving them money to get the cpu's :)

Plus kin ( or anyone else for that matter) if you have a spare 3930k I desperately need one to finish off my desk build, I was gonna buy one last week but ended up dumping all my money into climbing gear for my technical extrication class. Pm me I would greatly appreciate it.

Just bought a evga x79 FTW board for $150 from a forum member, just got to the 40k mark , Noctua just shipped me my 2011 bracket for my D14, and I'm also a rock star. My body is ready.

3930k - you can find a motherboard for cheap. i was able to get an msi x79 military board from frys for $50 after 40 dollar rebate.
