I'm guessing he already has optical drives?

That is kind of a small hard drive, you can get a 300 gig for not much more.

Also, is he planning to OC? Some of the Core Duo chips are very affordable, and OC very well, not that the 930 doesn't too...
 
you will have put together a very nice system when you are done. It should run out real smooth and fast! Chris you have put together a damn fine system also. I like the conservative look and the great 3D scores. Nice work!

Thats a nice PC your building . Heat sink???? Try to buy a 975x chipset that is Conroe ready . So a future Conroe cpu will work!!!!
 
Is there even a board out yet that supports it? I am willing to dump a bunch of cash on a new rig if there is a board that will support it. Which reminds me, i need to start buying all the parts that WONT change in 6 months :p
