Ok, I think I have everything straight, but wanted to see if I've missed anything. I've been building AMD/ATI rigs forever, but this is the first Intel/nVidia setup I've done in a LONG time.

EVGA 780i Motherboard
Two EVGA 8800GTS (G92) in SLI
Two 2GB sets of Mushkin 1066 (996535)
PCP&C 750 Quad (Black)
Ultra 120 Extreme w/Panaflo 120mm

I guess my biggest concern is for the 4GB of memory and this board. I'll be using Vista Home Premium 64-bit. I believe I have to install 2GB and then update the BIOS before the MB will use it. Is this correct? Also, are there any other concerns I should know about.
 
No, the 780i will recognize 4GB out of the box no problems. Should, anyway. Updating the BIOS is a good plan regardless.

You're better off with 2x2GB sticks, not 4x1GB sticks. Less stress on the memory controller, better chance of stability at higher clocks. If you don't have the RAM already, don't buy 1GB sticks.

What CPU? About what OC do you plan to run/try for? If it's an E8400 the DDR2-1066 isn't a total waste, though DDR2-1000 should be enough and might be cheaper. If it's a Q6600 all you're likely to need is DDR2-800.

What size and resolution of display? If it's below 1920x1200 forget about SLI, it's a waste of money for you.
 
IIRC, it's not the bios you have to update, it's Vista you have to update to get it working with more than 2GB of memory.
 
BTW, yes, I'm using an E8400 processor.

I installed 2GB of memory and booted into the bios. I set the FSB to 467MHz the CPU voltage to 1.4 and the memory voltage to 2.2. I disabled all spread spectrum crap and linked the mem/proc to achieve a stable 4.2GHz overclock.

Right now I'm running 4GHz with 4X1GB memory at 1066 linked, 5-5-4-12 2T and same voltages.

I'm calling it the 4x4 setup.

Edit: I was able to lower the CPU voltage to 1.375 at 4GHz
