I'm looking for a PSU for this motherboard, a 640GB WD Hard-drive, and an Intel E8400.

I fancy this case, though it would seem it only has the option for a 60w PSU (which wouldn't be sufficient for this motherboard): http://usa.chenbro.com/corporatesite/products_detail.php?sku=49

Perhaps someone knows of a PSU that will fit this case and that has a power output of approx. 250w?

If not, I'd certainly take recommendations for any other PSU that I could use with another case.

(What all standard sizes of PSU exist?)

Well Mr Stuckey. I dare to say that 60W for a Wolfdale E8400 would definately not be enough.

60 W would mean to keep this CPU at the edge between "just-about" & failure.

I am all for tiny Mini iTX cases (Coolermaster TC100A, M350 or JCP MI-102), but I find myself forced to go a bit bigger for the sake of stability, if you want a good level of performance.

Another thing that sucks is the fact that Pico PSUs (above 100W) cost more than double the money you'd pay for high quality standard sized ATX (2.2) PSUs.

As a suggestion, I would like to explain what I have decided to go for. Here is my next Mini iTX system (CPU: Q9550):

1. Mini iTX PC case: Lian Li PC-Q07 @ newegg ... YouTube

2. PSU: Silverstone SST-ST50EF-Plus-SC

That PSU is not budget but it's high quality and the only one with shorter cables for SFF cases.

Otherwise any 350 W or 400 W PSU would be still more than sufficient.

I easily ran a full ATX system with Intel DP45sg, E8400, Asus 3450 videocard, seagate cheetah, DVD etc with a 300W Seasonic (Seasonic SS-300ES). As a matter of fact the same system with a Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3L substituted for the horrendous Intel board and SATA HDD is running reliably 24/7 as a media server in my Sister's house. So I would say 250W is easily enough to power your system.

Now to your question, I think that case is better suited to Atom or Via type board, not what is essentially a shrunken desktop like you are suggesting. It's power supply is most likely a proprietary design, so a substitute may not be easy to find. I would suggest you look at the Silverstone cases, which seem to be as small, but tend to have more powerful PSU's.

I had Silverstone in mind...

The thing I don't like about it is it's requirement of this (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827256002&Tpk=silverstone cd dvd slim) 89 dollar slim cd drive.

I like that case as well. there are reports of it being noisy due to the openness (If that is a word:)

I was also looking at that, and balked for the same reason - the Slim DVD. I am all about redundancy, and I was thinking that spending $90 on a DVD that I couldn't use in a pinch in another system was a waste. In the end, my Brother-in-law dropped a Silverstone LC-11s on me and I decided to go with that and use adapters for it's ITX PSU.

My upcoming build is somewhat similar to yours:

Silverstone Lascala SST-LC11S-300
Silverstone ENP-2224B
Intel DG45FC
Intel E5200
Crucial CT2KIT25664AA800
Pioneer DVR-216DBK
Seagate ST3400620NS
Microsoft Windows XP Pro SP3

It will be used primarily as a music server for use with Squeezecenter and my slimdevices Transporter. Therefore, I don't need much computing power.

I also considered the lian Li PC-Q7. In the end, there wasn't really enough room for a tower case and I am just adding the LC11 to my video stack.

The Sugo 05 comes with (?) a 300W SFX PSU, which should be able to handle your system. Keep in mind you don't have a power hungry add-on video card.
