Legit Reviews has some neat pics of Intel's P67 LGA-1155 "Burrage" motherboard: http://www.legitreviews.com/article/1409/1/

and here is one of Gigabyte's new Sandy Bridge boards: article

I like gigabyte's new color scheme a lot more than the light blue/orange/white stuff they've been coming out with

At least the heatsink on the Gigabyte is "Ultra Durable." I can't count the number of times that my heatsink was just worn out...

haha

Ultra Durable is their marketing slogan for their mobos. It signifies that the PCB is made with extra copper and etc. Supposedly several things are done to ensure reliability.

Hence why many of their higher end motherboards have "UD" in their names, like the X58-UD3

Hey I like the blueberry yogurt, it's different. :)
But yeah the black on black is sexy. :D
I'm surprised there's only 4 ram slots though....isn't SB quad channel?

mmmmmm I have been planning a black and white WC theme, the new GB board looks perfect

There's a lot of confusion about this. The Sandy Bridge that's coming out in the next 4-6 months is not the replacement for 1366/x58/i7

It's the replacement for 1156/p55/i3, i5, i7.

So, the CPUs that are coming will only be dual channel.

The high end quad channel chipset comes out in about 12 months.

Ah, yeah I saw on the GB article that it was the successor to P55, I just thought quad channel would carry throughout on all boards (but then again quad channel would be too pricey for mainstream, so it makes sense to keep dual channel). Just a pre-emptive spaz out on only seeing 4 slots, that's all. :)

nope these are just low end systems with have the locked overclocking and would need a K series cpu to overclock. the LGA-2011(take note of the pin count for quad channel ddr3) wont see the light of day til mid/late Q2 2011..
