Ok here's the scoop. I'm looking to build a new file server for my business. I currently have a Nforce 570 board with a dual core 3800+ and 2gb of RAM. I'm running Server 2003 R2 and for the most part, performance is excellent. However, the system randomly reboots on me maybe once or twice a week and it's really starting to unnerve me. It's usually Stop 0x000000D1 errors and the like but for the life of me I haven't been able to track them down. I happened upon a good deal on an Intel desktop board - the DG965WH - and figured I'd snag an E6300 since all the machines I've built with similar setups have been rock solid. There's where the problem begins. I just read on Intel's site that their Matrix RAID is not supported on Server 2003! I have 5 320gb hard drives in this server currently and was planning on setting up a RAID0+1 but now I'm rather stuck. Can anyone recommend a good board for a solid file server that can take 2gb of Corsair DDR2 800 and an E6300. I need RAID support, a minimum of 6 SATA ports that can be used for the RAID, and driver support for Server 2003. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Sorry for the long post!
