some people are saying wait for the motherboards to mature before you go to a new socket, but it will be hard to resist
Pretty sure I've read that all Nahalem chipsets will be DDR3.Sorry for the ignorant question, but will DDR2 NOT work with Nehalem at all? Or, rather, will Nehalem finally be able to utilize DDR3, where it would be walled with DDR2?
Nehalem will be a EXPENSIVE upgrade for most if it's new proc, new mobo AND new high dollar DDR3...
I'm a tick-tock kind of a guy.
I'll only upgrade to octa-core next.. and assuming ddr3 prices aren't still "RAPE ME" all over the heatsinks.

I'll wait for an Octa-Core or a 40W Quad...
considering what i'm running now
780i
4gb
QX6850
2 x 8800GT SSC
I'm gonna try and push what I have to the max now and then when nehelem hits I'll most likely move over to it...but I want a decent nvidia chipset to support it.
