Intel Core i7 First Generation and Intel Core i7 Second Generation

Which of them is good?
I read some reviews of it and they say both of them are quite same.
Is that true?
Can both of them be overclocked and play hard core gaming like BF3/MW3/Crysis 2/ and etc?

Both are good. Laptops, generally get the 2nd gen. Desktops, if the 1st gen is much cheaper, it's worth it. Otherwise, get the 2nd gen.

I just want a good processor that can help for gaming, even though it mostly come from your video card.

For gaming, get the i5-2500K. No real need for the i7's hyperthreading with that kind of use.

Go with 2500k or 2600k. So easy to overclock and most can do 4.5ghz+ overclock.
