I will continue to update the graph to include more datapoints as I record them.

The wattage measurements were done at the wall with a Kill-A-Watt power meter.

I guessed that the best way to prolong my chip's life was probably to keep the power usage close to what it uses at stock. This also allowed me to get by with just using the stock Intel HSF as well.
 
Let me know what the wattage usage is at 3183mhz and 1.275v That is what I ran my CPU at on my Evga 680i before I sold the mobo.
 
I have no idea about that since my CPU isn't stable at that particular voltage/speed combination.
 
Good info but keep in mind that since you measured it at the wall the wattages are for the entire system and include losses in the power supply. So the only information that can be used (if the system remained the same during testing except for FSB) is the delta/difference in wattage. And this assumes the loss in the AC to DC conversion process in the power supply is linear as the power demands go up,

In other words. Base line wattage is 88 98

at 460 FSB 140 205

so all you can say is that in going from 220 FSB to 460 FSB the cpu power dissipation increased 140 - 88 = 52 watts idle and 205 -98 = 107 watts loaded.

What would be very interesting is to get a lot of data points inbetween the values you already have, calculate the increase in wattage per above for each FSB and the plot the curve of increased wattage vs FSB.
 
oh, it does nicly explain why my and most other peoples system run fine on, in my case, a 420W power supply with good 12 rails. Think I will hold off on the 1KW supply for a while.
