Does anyone even really care about PassMark? I've never downloaded it let alone test or even pay attention to it's results posted by anyone as far as i know or can remember

"Unsurprisingly, there have been a few accusations of Intel paying to have the results skewed in its favor, but PassMark has attempted to be transparent about the situation. There has even been an admission that no samples of the Ryzen 3 4300U have even been tested on V10 of the benchmark and a mention that PerformanceTest V9 was mistakenly weighted too much in the favor of the Zen 2 based Ryzen 3000 series of chips."

Two quotes from the thread on this:
Who can trust any benchmark that changes things as a result of new CPUs being rolled out? The idea behind a benchmark is it represents a single specific workload. That workload should be independent from an architectural standpoint.

The only reasons that scores would change is if the benchmark itself was flawed in some way. If that is the case, they need to be transparent about it, and about why.

Its flawed because it didn't show Intel in a good enough light,.

Looks like Intel, and now PassMark, can go fuck themselves.

I just use the site as a quick reference to compare cpu's. I was confused the other day when I looked up my 4770 in my Plex server and it was around 3000 points lower than it was a couple of weeks ago.
they did post a link to the V9 set though,

intel also leads in security holes per core.

what are they at 77?

someone tell the FTC. intel needs to be dragged back in to court over this shades of 2001 all over again.

LOL @ "AMD-Ryzen-5-3600-CPUMark-wccftech-leaked-performance.png"

You actually kept that?

It hasn’t changed persay, the v9 test still has the same results the new v10 version results that are now displaying however could be more clearly notated as the reason for the change. At least thats how I’ve interpreted the new numbers.

Guys, at least they aren't bribing and threatening OEMs to not sell AMD hardware this time.
In six years Intel will be ahead again and balance will be restored to the force. The Empire never dies
