That RAM.. is it good? I have always skimped on the RAM and paid for it in being limited when I overclock. DDR2-800 should leave that wide open for me right?

That motherboard.. I saw it is a favorite Micro-ATX board around here, is that still the case?

The CPU.. I am at my budget limit so I don't think I will wait around for the Q9450

Why a G35 mobo? You have a graphics card, so you don't need integrated graphics. P35 is the same but w/o the integrated graphics.

FYI, you'll need a 64-bit version of windows to see all 4gb of RAM, 32-bit versions only see up to 3.6GB.

DO you absolutly need the quad-core cpu? Consensus is that quad is best for uber-multitasking and heavy video encoding. If you're just gaming and doing casual encoding/photochopping, a dual core is all you need. You could save some dough buying a E8400 instead. I could not find any Micro-ATX P35 motherboards for sale at the egg. I need a Micro-ATX board to fit that type of case. I also figured I could drive my 2nd monitor off that onboard until I get my 3rd monitor. I sure will be going 64-bit for the OS. Video encoding is one of the main tasks I use my PC for as well as gaming. I also only build a new rig approx every 3 yrs, so I need this one to last like my current (X2) one and my previous (Mobile Barton) one did, and I think a quad will facilitate me using this for quite a while.
