I bought a sabertooth x79 motherboard:

http://www.amazon.com/ASUS-Sabertoo...qid=1396111991&sr=8-1&keywords=sabertooth+x79

and a:

http://www.amazon.com/Noctua-Heatpi...8&qid=1396112018&sr=8-1&keywords=noctua+dh-14

but it turns out that its not compatible out of the box ( I was suggested to get this combo on this forum so didn't do as much research as I should have).

I found the mounting kit here that is required:
http://www.noctua.at/main.php?show=productview&products_id=40&lng=en

but was wondering if this is the type of thing a company like frys.com stocks so I don't have to order and wait to build my PC?

AFAIK, no. There's no universal mounting bracket for HSF.
