PCWorld has an interesting article on Firefox 3.0 after spending a little time with an early alpha build. Looking forward to next version of Firefox? Give this article a read. Here’s a quote to get you started:

"Our ultimate goal is to make it so that Web applications are not discernable from any other applications running on your desktop," Mike Schroepfer, vice president of engineering for Mozilla, explained to me during a recent interview. "The cool thing is that we're implementing a set of standards that are already out there," he added

I downloaded minefield(FireFox 3.0) because I read it works great in Vista. I haven't had a problem with it at all, Opera has started giving me problems along with IE7...

I'm running Vista Ultimate 64 bit edition..

3.0 already? Is it a race to see who gets to 10 first?

They said "early alpha build," it probably won't be final for another year or more. Would you rather they just stop developing and let it stagnate like IE6 did forever?

Its a race thats for sure. lol

I think they should add more of the plugins they have as a standard. Would be pretty cool.
