Presently on a 1 day sale @ Dell Canada for $220.

I am considering this a decent entry into a 3 monitor setup with the new ATI 5770 for $170 cdn from Newegg CA.

I presently game @ 1650 x 1080 on an LG L222WT TN panel. Evga 9600GT .

Negatives:
No displayport. ATI solution not yet available.
You tube review indicates VGA cord built in, so minor cord mess to resolve. Can anyone confirm this.

Anyone have a 22" setup yet. All reviews seem to only be with 24" displays.

Positives
Eyefinity goodness for an older gamer at acceptable price.

My alternate upgrade choice to Eyefinity is a single Asus VW266H, again 1 day left for sale @ $295 Cdn after rebate. Video card upgrade probably required as well.

What specific games are you playing now, and do you intend to play in the near future? Make sure you've got enough video card to power that kind of resolution if you're going to go and spend that much on monitors. Obviously you could always upgrade in the future, but I think if you're going for a nice 3 monitor eyefinity display, you should probably try and spring for the 5850.

Thanks, Dell 22" sold out so will go with single Asus and I think 5850 suggestion is good advice. Will resist eyefinity for now and let it mature.

Well I can give you an idea on this friday most likely as that is when my 3 2209wa's arrive along with the bizlink adaptor and my 5870. So I can get some pictures up and list any issues when they arrive this week if you like.

Thanks for the heads up on that amazing Dell deal of the day for the 2209WA $219.99!!

Just ordered 2 of them!

Nope, they now have more in stock, try again. It should be ok.

I thought the main display had to have a native display port? Did this get changed?

You can work around this issue with an active DP to DVI adaptor and the only one I know of that is confirmed working is the one from dell that I ordered. The adaptor costs around 85-100 dollars so it isn't a cheap solution by any means. If all shipping goes as planned and no defective items I should be able to give a decent insight into using 2209wa's in eyefinity as I haven't seen this exact test setup show off yet.

No, just one display has to be displayport, because you can't have 3 displays on the DVI and HDMI ports concurrently.

I just got the dell 22 IPS for 212 + tax from Keith Wenzel at dell

you Americans are lucky to get those prices so easily. I had to wait until Dell Canada had a one day sale which I pulled the trigger for 219 and today it went up again to 369.
