Started playing this today, I just finished Chapter 2, and I'm very impressed so far.
Runs great (1900x1200 with everything maxed, very nice on my new 24" monitor) and looks very stunning. There's nothing that really jumps out at you as looking amazing at first, but that's because everything looks good. So many games these days seem to throw all their budget and horsepower into certain effects, and then the rest of the game's look suffers. To me the graphics remind me of an upgraded Doom 3, but minus the "plastic" look and with far better effects, nicer textures, and shadows that aren't pitch black.
Amazing atmosphere, engaging RE4 style gameplay (but with some horror in it's survival horror unlike RE4), and impeccable sound design. A couple years ago I never would have imagined a game like this coming out of EA, but I hope they keep up the good work and I hope this sells enough to warrant a sequel.
