I'm sure some games will come up with fantastic uses for the Wiimote. I'm also sure the majority won't. Only time will tell what will happen and how it will be used.
The novelty of the controller is definitely wearing off quick (as can be seen in this thread) and I expect that many games in the first part of 2007 will tank because of it. I remember a few months ago people would be like "OMFG FISHING GAME, IT CAN USE THE WIIMOTE LIKE A REAL FISHING POLE OMFG AWESOME." These same people would call a PS2 fishing game boring and not pay any attention to it. Well, now that the Wiimote isn't that big of a deal anymore most people will look at a Wii fishing game as being mostly boring also.
