So, tell me. Does the Zalman 400B-APS power supply I bought a few months ago work with my socket 939 Asus A8N-SLI Premium board? Or did I just shoot myself in the foot?

The Zalman unit in question is based around an older Fortron 400w with a high 5v and a low 12v. It won't power SLI, but it might do for a stock non-SLI rig until you can afford something more capable at 12v. My suggestions would be the Sparkle FSP550PLG-SLI (or FSP550-60PLG), OCZ PS520, PC P&C 510w, or Zippy HP2-6500P or PSL-6701P.

The 500w should do, but not sure about SLI on that one. That fan normally faces down and draws air from the CPU area.

I'm not going to be running SLI at all, I just bought it because it was a really nice mobo.

All I'll be running is an AMD X2 chip, regular Nvidia graphics card (6800gt probably), 1GB of Corsair RAM and 2 HDs with an optical drive.

I think this should be more than enough power correct?
