Ideas on a new power supply

Hey everyone. I plan on upgrading from the cyberpower built rig i have now to a newer mobo, cpu, gpu, and more ram.

I am going to use the Gigabyte GA-MA790GP-DS4H mobo with an AMD Phenom 9950 BLACK EDITION 2.6GHz cpu. Probably with a cheaper GeForce 8800 GT video card (maybe someday going SLI), and updating to 4mb of DDRII 1066 ram. I plan on running a better cpu cooler with a couple more case fans too and a couple cold cathod llights. I currently have 1 hard drive, CD rom, and DVD rom too. I would love to learn more about OC'ing and do that also.

My current rig is about 4 years old and has a 450 watt PSU. I was curious if this one would still work with my planned updated componenets or would i need to upgrade this too? It does say 115/230 V-, 10/5A, 60/50 Hz. L & C Computer Comp. on the sticker.

I have been doing plenty of ready on power supplies but still seem to be in the dark about what to buy. I want something of good quality, but don't want to break the bank.

If i need a newer one, what size would power all this and potentially another video card, and what should i be looking for in a PSU for my components?

That "info" you listed doesn't help whatsoever. But since it's a four year old PSU, more than likely it won't power your new hardware well. So yes you do need a new PSU. Something like the Corsair 450VX 450W PSU will be enough. Though for a little headroom, the Corsair 550VX is also a good choice

However, do note that you can NOT run SLI on an AMD chipset motherboard. You need an Nvidia chipset in order to use SLI.
