I've got the 620m , it only goes down to 1.3 GhZ...... Can I force it lower? I am only using for One Note, which does it need that much power... hate having less Battery than possible.... Any ideas?

Normally, on a laptop, disabling speedstep will force it to the lowest state. Try looking in the BIOS to disable turbo, and see if disabling speedstep will force the CPU into a lower clock.

On a desktop, it will normally ramp everything upto 100% :p

hmm, k, was just curious, since One Note doesnt need much power at all, an 800 MHz speed for it would be more than enough.

now is there a way to turn off Hyper Threading when in Powersaver mode, and still have HT enabled on high performance mode?

i havent ggone to the bios yet LOL, now that i think of it, ill probably go do that now while i'm waiting for th elinux distro i'm working with to get onto a USB drive...

EDIT: AHHA, i can disable Intel HT...

"Intel (R) HT Technology" with a check box beside it.......though this will then disable till i go and put it back myself.....hmm, will i see alot more bat life out of it w/HT disabled?
