They were no-bakes and the computer was a 6 year old E-machine. I think I got the better end of the deal.

Actually, I was just giving it to my aunt and uncle (so their kids could have something available as they get old enough to make use of a computer) and my aunt gave me a couple of cookies. :p

Man I'd trade just about anything for some no-bake cookies. Likewise I would trade an emachines for just about anything. I agree, you got the better end of the deal.

LOL - "bagel and OJ" and I instantly thought, this dude's from NY. Check your location, yup there you are.

Here's to sociogeographical icons and stereotypes!

Actually, I'm from NJ.... I go to college in Rochester. NJ is even closer to the bagel realm than rochester is. :D

I have a friend from California that likes em, but she pronounces it "beggle." I laugh every time. Then there's hella, throw down, and so many other great words and phrases she uses.

I gave a girl I knew a 2GB hard drive and in return she made me a sandwich. I have no regrets to this day. It was a really good sandwich, too.

I gave a computer (P90) like 3 years ago to my Fiance for some special time ;)

It was worth it!

Cheers,

Eigtball got the best deal. That is at least worth a P2-400 :p
Hardly. A fiancé should give it to you without you paying him...

She wasn't my fiance at the time (Girlfriend). So what she wanted a PC to type her papers up with I put one together, and I got lucky :D One good deed deserves another!

Cheers,

Man, probably about half the shit in my girlfriend's computer is my old stuff. I don't mind though. I wasn't using it. Every time I tell her I found a computer or something in a dumpster, she asks me if there is anything in it that will make her computer better. :D I've also painted and windowed the case(mainly her design, with a bit of helpful guidance from me). It has paid off. ;)

Damnit, I wish I could trade in my modem, 500MB HD, and p90 CPU for a bag of cheetos

Since we are on the topic of silly trade-ins, I'll contribute...

I wish I could trade in my old K6 and motherboard for a nice s'more. The marshmellow better be heated with a butane torch though...it's honestly the best way.

One of my friends used to cook w/ a propane torch all the time. He was particularly fond of using it for browning bratwurst and making espresso.
He had this little "camping" espresso maker. The espresso maker was just a conical metal flask w/ a curved tube coming off it. I have no idea how the hell you're suposed to get that to work on a camp fire, or even a camp stove, but it worked great with a pair of pliers and a blowtorch.

What the heck are you talking about? So I forgot an E. Don't you have something better to do than correct spelling and grammar? Obviously not. Sheesh

Not entirely sure as to the recipe, as I haven't made them myself in a very long time, but I think they consist mostly of cocoa, peanut butter, and sugar, melted, then mixed with oatmeal, divided into cookies and chilled until solid.
