I use to keep up on hardware but ive been out of it for a few years and i just want some other peoples opions... i am building a new PC since my current one is going to burst into flames here soon...



specs for new pc.... so far

-GPU: $359.99.. EVGA 512-P3-N841-A3 GeForce 8800GTS (G92) 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card

-CPU: $189.99.. Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 Conroe 2.66GHz 4M shared L2 Cache LGA 775 65W Dual-Core Processor

-HD: $159.99 .. Western Digital Caviar SE16 WD7500AAKS 750GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive



I really need help with what MOBO to get and RAM!!!!!..2gb of RAM fyi.... if you think any of these items are not a good buy or not for the money let me know.... please i really need help im poor lol so i really need to find the best proformance for the smallest cost... if it can run Crysis on max and above at least 30 FPS i will be happy with it...

How much money are you willing to spend on this new rig?

What size/resolution monitor do you have?

And do you need just the motherboard and memory, or do you need other things as well?

- What parts do you need for your budget?
- What else will you be doing with this PC besides gaming?
- What features are you looking for in a motherboard? Like RAID, firewire, legacy ports, etc
