ive been searching for a alternative to Outlook for a working calender to use in my Office ( we have 7 people)

and Google's new Calender feature is the PERFECT fit

it has tons of the same features as Outlook ( and i dont need to buy a server to share it in my office with other people)


Im VERY happy with this FREE google feature

just makes me nervous that if google goes under, im gonna lose my calender ( or if they start charging for it)
 
i tried it, but alot of the features are pretty beta ( like sharing the calender)

I'd be more worred about Google reading my calendar and crashing my Stargate SG-1 lawn parties.

I tried Sunbird for a bit, but I didn't like it much. Same reasons I don't like Thunderbird anywhere near as much as I like FireFox... Lack of features, very bare.

Except Google actually has the billions that it's worth.

And you won't be charged. Almost all Google services/products are free. That's the company's business ethic. It doesn't need money from us. Advertisers would wear diapers for them.
 
google is by far one of my favorite companies, they didnt have to create google labs to develop awesome little apps that we would use, but they did and best of all they dont charge for some awesome programs.

i love google
 
Ive never used a calander, but I am trying out the google one since I allready use gmail.

Its ok, for a calander...although my life is fine with out one. Im sure in teh months to come I will come to rely on it more and find it more valualble.
 
It's good when planning an event between people, they can confirm and stuff. Also emails them about 5x!
 
I found it to be cumbersome to use, I I don't know why. Perhaps it's because I'm looking for something more spartan, like Sunbird.
