I Highly Doubt This.....

Whenever I hear stuff like this which I call BS on, I go to www.anandtech.com and check out they gotta say. Anand is one of the Total Nonbiased sites ive seen and ill go see what I scrunge up

After a few minutes of looking, heres what I see... Seems like that site was BS

Yea right lol. Anandtech is about unbiased as Tomshardware. Their nothing but AMD fanatics. Anandtech has done nothing but release crappy reviews on the A64's by only using benchmarks that are the A64's strongest suits and then declaring it the king of the world. Their nothing but full of BS. They dont know how to review a sock.

And not to mention the fact that that review you posted is an antique. It has nothing to do with the awesome performance boost the nVidia cards are getting out of the new updated drivers. And the 6800's are just getting started. Rumors say there is another driver update coming soon that will boost performance even more then this release.

Yaa, like you know what your talking about. I suppose HardOCP would be biased if they didn't print what you liked.

I go off about 20 different hardware sites when i compare actual results of hardware such as CPU's and Video Cards and i take an average of the results to find out really which is better. Anandtech published shitty A64 reviews using minimal benchmarks made up almost completely of games and tried to make the A64 look like something it was not. They went as far as to post links to pictures and other articles that poked and made fun of Intel on the main page. It was very unproffessional.

They have done some good reviews on other things but their AMD vs Intel and ATi vs nVidia articles are horrid.

The fools were still calling the A64 3000+ a newcastle core LONG AFTER everyone on the rest of the planet had distinguished it was not considering it was the same freaking die size as the 3200+.

So yea, i know what i'm talking about.

Anandtech is still one of the main hardware sites i visit but i dont put alot of weight into their CPU reviews especially unless i'm seeing the exact same results on alot of other sites. It takes alot more then just gaming benchmarks to come up with a good CPU review. And when your site is almost entirely AMD content its pretty easy to see its all marketing ploys. But of course that goes for most all the hardware sites. Hardware manufacturers make large amounts of money off of GOOD reviews.

Wait, what was this thread about again? I'm looking at the title, and I'm not seeing "Fanboy Warriors Invited" or anything of the sort. This is about the review and the technical aspects of the original link posted, and not much else. Cool it all of you.

I thought this was about Superman? But then again, most people here agree tha I am on acid.

My original reply still stands.

Still stands.....now shoooo!

Rumors say there is another driver update coming soon that will boost performance even more then this release.

There is also a rumor that everytime there is a rumor of new drivers with performance boost given in a percentage value by nvidia, it always comes out a lie

Usually the percentage is not correct, but almost always there is a boost on newer cards. Older cards can only be tweaked so much. If you don't think so, you are one of few.

Unless you are going to point out specific evidence about how Anand is biased would you please shut up? They are one of the best review sites out there.

Yes, along with every performance increase statement said by any company in the world.

The 61.34 drivers brought considerable performance gains to Nvidia. Far as I'm concerned the've been sticking to their word this generation.

They are one of the best ones out there yes but that doesn't mean their reviews are all unbias. If you have followed their A64 and Intel reviews like i have then you would know that Anandtech overlooked all the areas where the Intel processors were ahead and only mentioned the areas where the A64 was ahead. They only used about 10 whole benchmarks in their reviews and almost all of them were games. Well thats pretty pointless because if a CPU is better in the majority of games out there then there is no point in posting primarily all gaming benchmarks. Anyone that posts CPU reviews like that is ither being bias or doesn't know how they should be reviewing a CPU. Gaming is just one of the few aspects of a CPU and Anandtech isn't even a gaming site. Tech Report and others that do CPU reviews do full scale reviews that cover around 50 benchmarks or more. Those are complete unbias reviews because they aren't just pointing out the obvious and declaring the best CPU out there. Not to mention all the links to Intel bashing articles they have posted on their main page with the release of the A64. You dont see any AMD bashing articles get posted. If you like AMD then go to Anandtech and if not you should take their CPU articles with a grain of salt.

A few months back when the A64's first started rolling out i did a rather large roundup covering the percentages of wins for the A64 vs the P4. I used around 20-25 sites and it was anywhere from 50-65% or more in favor of the Pentium 4. And that was an average. I got alot of information from major hardware magazines like MaximumPC also. The thread is floating around in the AMD section somewhere unless its gone now that the upgrade got to it. Anandtech was the only site out of about three others that had the A64 at such a high percentage rate of wins in all their reviews. Its like 80% or more in favor of the A64. Why you ask? Because almost all of their benchmarks favored the A64 and when your trying to point out the best CPU of choice you can't do that or your being bias towards the side it favors.

And i have a pretty good idea that most of you that disagree with what i'm saying are running an AMD processor which would yet again make you bias against what i think lol.

Its all just one big conspiracy :p.

But i think we should just drop it now because it has nothing to do with video cards.

go do a search on the inquirer graphic section on the detonator FX drivers. I believe they have 2 articles commenting a percentage boost on drivers on seperate occasions and with different versions of the driverd, all of which conluded with another article noting how performance improved by the exact percentage they stated, except the problem is is that it only improved 3dmark scores, never any games
