Right now my system is at a fairly cool 30C system, 47.5C CPU (kinda high for a mostly idling system but my CPU cooler isn't exactly high performance, and the CPU is quite a bit over stock.). During the hot Florida day, it can go up to 35C / 53 CPU idling. At night it drops A LOT.

Damn you Florida :mad: I want to move to water cooling..
 
Yea dude it sucks here (FLorida),, i'm in the process of painting my case.. and you know everyone say's don't paint when it's humid.. it's friggin humid all day every day here.. how the hell can i paint when it's not humid.. i live in an appartment so painting inside will kill my roomates.. >=\.. so what did i do? i painted outside in the humid ass air.. though the paint job is coming out pretty good i must say'.. gonna apply a clear coat tomorrow :)
 
My temps with a 1900+ XP plus a "stock" cooler (it's not really a stock cooler but it's performance is but the fan is silent) during the day I see an idle temp of around 55c at night it drops to around 38c. Right now I have a box fan in my windows and a smaller box fan pointed at my open case and the temp is at 48c. All at stock speeds. :(
I live in Colorado and it hasn't even gotten as hot as normal yet so I'm thinking about getting a small, good WC kit just for the summers.
I can't wait for winter when my temps are around 38c all the time. :(

The worst is when even the breeze is hot. God I hate summer, if it wasn't for the skipply dress chicks.... :D
 
Bah! All of you move away! I live for this hot-humid weather and daily afternoon thunderstorms.

I freeze when the temp drops below 70, and rejoice when we hit March/April!

Just turn your ACs down and get it awn!
 
hah, im in miami... i get hot humid weather, and now a giant cloud of smoke :rolleyes:

one word, window ac...

only thing that is keeping me from cooking myself in here...

i have a WC setup and my machine is usually around 46C full load (F@H)
 
I live in florida too and the heat was killing my old comp... now with my new one I use one of those "thermal integration technology" heatsinks and used a thermaltake fan on it and it runs quiet and cool ( 37C when the adjustable fan is running at about 3000rpm) keep in mind that I overclocked the CPU by 25% and increased the FSB from 266 to 333....... the heatsink model # is TI-S7740K

^^ ROFL...theres teenagers everywhere and yea theres alot of old people but theres also alot of snobby bitches too but the beaches and good weather make up for it even if you cant get a good oc :p

Come to East TX, where they clear-cut all the hardwoods, and replaced them with those stupid pine trees. Everything gets dusted in yellow for 3-4 weeks twice a year,

I definitely know the yellow dusting living here in Tally. It's not quite as bad down in S. Florida. At least it's 3-4 weeks when you don't have to worry about washing your car because a couple hours later it'll be yellow again. :rolleyes:

Speaking of heat tho... is there a way to keep the heat from my pc from heating up my room even more? I already have the hot room in my house. Ya know? The one that, even when all the other room are 70deg, stays at 80? I know the heat has to go somewhere... does water cooling help this at all? thanks! :)

Last month my electric bill was $134. Twice as much as it usually is.

My apartment in Orlando is old, old, old and the complex wont replace the AC unit. Good thing im moving out in two weeks.

Im looking forward to getting away from this heat and humidity someday.

Yeah, duct the exhaust from your computer to outside your house.

No matter how you cool it, you're going to be generating at least as much heat and it's got to go somewhere.
 
even up north its real warm too, its 30C in my room right now, case is at 31C, and cpu is idling at 39C, i love the sp-94 :)
 
Miami doesn't get yellow dusting. that's more of a north florida thing.. i'm from Miami :cool: .. no dust!! hahahahahha... but we do get yellow dusting in Gainesville, but like i said this is north central florida...
 
I've been to florida enough times to hate the heat there also.

In florida, aren't you watercooling anyway, even if you're just using air cooling? ;)
 
I'm going to college at UNF in Jacksonville, I lived in Boca Raton (Palm Beach area.) That damn yellow dust took me by surprise! I hate that stuff! :mad:

if you have a decent car, you HAVE to keep it garaged in Orlando. I had a brand new Mustang GT that I had to wash AND wax every week just to keep all the construction tar, bugs, and possible sun/heat damage from ruining the paint job.

That's why I drive a clunker now and keep my new 04 GSXR-600 under a tarpe. :)

I'm here in florida too. Extreme northwest in a nice little city called Pensacola. Today was teh hottest day of the year for us so far. 96 degreess F and no doubt 100% humidity. Welcome to Florida. For those of you up north that temp with that amount of humidity makes it feel like 100++

While it isn't that humid constantly, we get some narsty days in NJ where the temp is almost 100F with very high humidity.

That said, I've also been in Florida during the summer and it's absolutely narsty. Couldn't live there.
 
hehe that's all nice. I knew it was getting to hot when part of my CASE MELTED! And I don't even live in florida. I was only 100 out side. when I left my case out for the paint to dry last summer. And you're all complaining that your temps are up. HA!
 
meh.. try working in an aircraft hanger, inside of a c-130... at the highest point inside of it.. while its over 90 outside with 99% humidty...

brings back bad memories.. fuck florida.
