So finally i took out my Antec NeoPower 480W PSU and replaced it with Thermaltake Toughpower 700W

So now finally i can enjoy my PC...not like there was anything wrong with Antec...is just that as soon as i would try to do something...it would crash.

P4 3.4
Asus 925x mobo
2GB ddr2
300GB Sata HD
8800GTS 320 MB (which uses only one PCI-e 6-pin cable.)
and a DVD rom.

Best of all...i personally know 3 other people who had similar problems with their Antec...but yet my friend has 350W PSU and he runs..
C2d 2.1
Asus 650i sli
1GB DDR2
300GB Sata HD
7900GTX
Dvd rom.

So if you would like to do your self a favor...stay away from Antec.

Yea. The CWT built units are quite good except for Fuhjyyu caps.

The Seasonic built units are solidly built, no fuhjyyu problems.. I'd take one.

I don't hate Antec :p

My SLK3700-AMB continues to be a pretty good case, and when I run into the CWT/Fuhjyyu thing I just recap them. CWT designs are extremely good... they just run too warm.

The database server that allowed you to post your message here is running on an Antec PSU and has been running pretty much 24/7 for 3 years now.... I dont hate Antec.

It isn't really fair to comapre a 480watt PSU to a 700watt PSU and say the 700watter is a better brand. If I had to pick between Antec and Thermaltake (of similar rating) I would chose the Antec without thinking twice. But I would chose Enermax or Seasonic before Antec.

Sometimes it seems like the power supplies Antec puts in their consumer level cases are not of the same quality as their retail units, the words, "factory seconds" comes to mind.. But that is just my limited personal experience.. I've had issues in the past, with the ones that came with an Antec case..

I have a lot more experience with their retail units, and I have never had any issues with any of them.....

I love my Antec PSU, and i love my case to. They love each other. Its just a big love fest here at the homestead:D
