1) What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming? Photoshop? Web browsing? etc

I want to build a HTPC that will run hyperspin (with all emulators) and XBMC (with various applications like netflix, hulu, etc).

I want this HTPC to be portable so I can connect it into friends TV's and run any emulator/ play movies. I will be hooking up XBOX wireless controllers into the USB ports.

2) What's your budget? Are tax and shipping included?

$400 max. I would obviously like to spend the least amount of money possible.

3) Which country do you live in? If the U.S, please tell us the state and city if possible.

US, Virginia

4) What exact parts do you need for that budget? CPU, RAM, case, etc. The word "Everything" is not a valid answer. Please list out all the parts you'll need.

Micro motherboard, cpu, htpc case, 1 TB memory, HDMI/AV hook up, a cheap sound card, not sure how much RAM but probably around 1GB ?

5) If reusing any parts, what parts will you be reusing? Please be especially specific about the power supply. List make and model.

I do not have any parts that I can reuse

6) Will you be overclocking?

No
7) What is the max resolution of your monitor? What size is it?

I want true HD 1080p/720i, but willing to lower quality if it brings total price down by a significant amount.

8) When do you plan on building/buying the PC?

ASAP. I want to buy the cheapest parts available. I am willing to do ebay, craigslist sales.

9) What features do you need in a motherboard? RAID? Firewire? Crossfire or SLI support? USB 3.0? SATA 6Gb/s? eSATA? Onboard video (as a backup or main GPU)? UEFI? etc.

USB 2.0. Minimal is key for this project. GPU if needed.

10) Do you already have a legit and reusable/transferable OS key/license? If yes, what OS? Is it 32bit or 64bit?

Yes, 64 bit. I'm going to be ghosting the program so that when pc is launched, XBMC will open

Thank you for your time and I can't wait to get started on this project !

So basically you want everything that I have allready setup

Check out my channel Marcdaddy2112 to see my digital pinball machines, Htpc Hyperspin setups, arcade machines
I can basically ghost my setup for your PC and you will have minimal tweaking.

Great video.. But you don't actually tell us what's in your system. Could you give me e minimal specs needed to run all the emulators. I want to create mini itx system.. The smaller the system, the better. Thanks bud

If its cheaper, I would even build the system without xbmc and just have hyperspin (make it an emulator only system). Price and smallness is my biggest concern
