Do I have to do that before I install a ROM, or can I do it without flashing a new ROM?
Currently I am at 88% after 7hr and 43 minutes lol. I havent used my phone much though today.
One complaint about folders is that when I open one and launch an app, then back out of the app to go home, the folder is still open. Wish it would close when an app from the folder was selected.
Looking around android phone forums, I guess people weren't kidding when they say the Thunderbolt's screen scratches easily.
I bought a holster for it but there's already a very tiny scratch on the upper left corner that I just noticed two hours ago. Granted its small and out of the way, but still really bugging me right now. I did buy screen protectors but completely and utterly failed in putting them on and had to discard all three in the 3-pack, very embarrassing.
I think if I buy screen protectors again, I'd need to go to a store and see how they put them on.
I hope if I put one, I know it'll prevent future scratches but also hide this very tiny one as well.
whats the fastest speed anyone has gotten yet i was getting 35 down and 25 up
in houston, there are multiple people who claimed to have higher and had screen shots houston has strong lte coverage. i guy in new york has a screen shot of 60 mbits down

anyone having problems with texting? Like you text someone and 15 digit number shows up on their phone instead of your name??

So is there anything to the reports that the Blockbuster app hanging is causing the battery life issues? I'm this close to ordering but I rather not have to immediately root to keep from having it die halfway through the day when I have a 3GS that's only at 85% at the same time period.
CM7 FTW!
@layherdaddy: With alittle help from @toastcfh we have 3g/4g working on #CM7 for Thunderbolt! BAM Bitches!
Only things left I think are the Camera and Bluetooth. According to an earlier tweet from Slayher BT is working to a degree but cuts out or something like that.
I can't wait to get some AOSP goodness on this phone! Till then though Tesla Coil v1.5 will suffice.
Yeah man Tesla is nice, you liking those lean kernels or what?
Nandroids love you, I saw some lag on tesla 1.5, on lean kernel. havnt tried it with andryns kernel yet, I got a nandroid of 1.5 tesla might try it out with adryn, I'm rock bamf remix 1.4 with some tweaks I did to it and 4.4.2 adryn kernel and its AWESOME. I got AOSP lock and the launcher looks like this, which I prefer over the tesla launcher.

I could nandroid restore to 1.2 but i've made changes to my phone since then. I'm being lazy right now and simply don't want to deal with the hassle of setting it up again after the restore. If the lag gets too unbearable I may restore my backup but who knows.
I'd try BAMF but I hate Sense with a passion. Here's to hoping Slayher gets CM7 sorted out because I want some AOSP goodness.
Well the point with BAMF remix is its as sense as tesla is. There's even a complete desense script for it. I just like to tweak and mod lol.
I'd suggest giving it a static IP address, count the used IPs (i.e. if you have 5 devices) then add 10 for good measure and make that it's ip.
ex: 192.168.10.15
Make sure you go quite a few higher than the total number of devices since friend's phones, laptops, etc can connect and I've even seen on rare occasion somone drive down the road and their laptop pops in (but this was with a MIMO N router ~30' from the road)
I had to do this with my TrendNet to get my devices to work, every last WiFi device I had needed it's own static IP (including my phone and touch)
you shouldn't need to use static ip addresses for that router. i have the older brother of your router (netgear wndr3700) and my thunderbolt works just fine with it.
so for which band is your router setup? i don't think the thunderbolt will connect to the 5.0ghz a/n band. You'll need to use the 2.4ghz b/g/n band. you also might need to double check your security/wpa settings.
finally, when you enable wireless on your thunderbolt stay in the settings menu of your phone. watch the status of the wireless connect to see what it's doing. does authenticate and obtain an ip address? perhaps you typed the wpa key wrong?
