I just bought my new HTC Incredible phone for Verizon. When I left the store I noticed that I only had 1 bar of service and the majority of the ride home I only had a bar of service. Ocassionally I would see the phone spike to full coverage but almost immediately drop back down to 1 bar or no bars. However, all of this being said, even when the phone has 0 or 1 bars displayed, I can make calls and surf the internet no problem. As I type this thread I am sitting at my desk which has a window right next to me and I have 1 bar of service and my actual signal strength as reported by the phone is -90dBm. Also, my coworkers sitting nex to me have Verizon, Spring, & ATT and all of them have perfect service. I found a few websites that tried to clarify what range of dBm's the phone should be in and the corresponding "bar level" but I wanted to throw this out on the forum.
It seems to be a very popular issue with the new HTC Incredible phones and a good bit of the Motorola Droid phones. Does anyone on here have the same issue and has anyone heard about an update being rolled out to fix it?
