Got my 24" mirror yesterday, shipped from wallyworld. You can check the specs at HP.com. I'm not going to try and do a critical review, but here are some observations for anyone not put off by Brightview (glossy) screens.
Glossy screen - Who's afraid of their own reflection? Hasn't bothered me a bit, and I sit with two windows behind me. YMMV.
PQ - above all, the color is incredible, bright and clear from the front. Colors do change hue from the sides, top & bottom. Presets for color are good, though "gaming mode" baffles me; it causes the screen to wash out. Unusable for me. Text is sharp and I don't notice any ghosting. Wife and I spent hours looking at photo's we've seen a hundred times on the our 19" westinghouse; just because they looked so much better; they looked real.
Backlight & pixels - Some small amount of backlight bleed, but looks even and not distracting to me. Zero bad pixels.
Mount - solid with cable guides. Not a lot of height adjustment though, a pain if you want to use the screen rotation feature.
Other features - light sensor (have not noticed it working, which may indicate it works well.. or not). USB ports on left side. Rear facing speakers, which I'm actually using when I don't have a headset on.
Looks - Bezel is a bit wider than I'd like and there's a strange cowling around it. Almost makes the front look like it's sagging out of the case.
Conclusion? More than I wanted to pay, but I figured if I didn't like it, walmart is an easy return. I had a samsung 24 from costco, but it just didn't "look" like $500. If you want the best gaming monitor, this probably isn't it, and no clue if an Xbox will hook to it (doubt it). Also not the best deal for the screen realestate.
But for me, it's a beauty and it stays with no regrets.
Hopefully, someone else will do a more technical review and post some pics.
