I have a HP Mini 1000 netbook and couple of days the hard drive failed on me. It's a 1.8" 80 GB PATA drive, and according to HP it's no longer available. They suggested that I contact their local parts reseller and pay the outrageous price of $150+shipping for the same drive. Not Happening!
I read somewhere that I can actually use an SSD drive for this machine. Can you guys recommend an SSD drive that I can use, specifically one that falls under the price range of $100. I've searched newegg and I can't seem to find one. Any help would be great! Thanks.
