HP 2509b Review

i have the 2510i . its the best TN panel ive ever owned tbh. it looks really smart for the money. it is genuinely a nice picture and the colors feel natural.

next year im looking to get a 27" 1440p IPS / PLS and i just hope that (beyond color depth and black) that any screen i get matches up in other ways.

the black is really good. I have my settings at:
30 brightness,
90 contrast.
in ati control panel i have 90 contrast,
110 saturation (although 100 is right, i like my games a tiny bit more vivid)
105 overdrive.
I use 6500k on both ati software and screen
5 sharpness.

probably not the most accurate settings? but it looks nicely saturated without and day glow color or bleed, and motion is nice and clear (again for the panel)
maybe im lucky but the screen doesn't have that annoying white/grey backlight glow peeping through dark scenes or even on a black screen! no clouding either, blacks actually seem almost black which ive never seen before on a flat screen let alone a TN?, my 32" panny 8bit IPS glows on dark scenes.

what could be better if im being picky is motion blur removed a tad more and a higher resolution is obvious for any 25" or above screen

not sure if its still made but if you can pick one up cheap do so.

:)
