I have been thinking about upgrading to the following:

MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum
3500+ NewCastle
OCZ DDR Booster (have BH-5)

I want a system where I can get a really good overclock with spending a boatload of money, so it was the 3500+ or a 3200+. I have heard alot of problems with the 90nm chips, usually about not being compatable or having a shitty on die mem controller. I am not sure I want to take the risk, so I was thinking a 3500+ NC. How good do those overclock? Just as good or better than a 3200+? Worse? Any feedback woudl be appriciated. Thanks.
 
I you want to oc go for the 3500+ 90nm winchester. It runs on a lower voltage and at stock speeds it is a little faster than its newcasatle counterpart. it will also oc about 6-7% higher. somp ppl say it runs cooler cause of lower voltage but its also a little smaller so it (in my opinion) puts out the same amount of heat per mm. if worst comes to worst and you get a bad one theres always the warranty. if you bui ti from www.newegg.com it has a 2 year warrenty so hey why not?

Cant afford it. If I went 90nm is would be a 3200+...there is no changing that. Its just with the problems I have heard, woudl a NC 3500+ be better?
 
i got mine up to 2.6, although i didnt spend the time to get it 100% stable at that speed.. 2.5 was easy to hit for me though

Similar results, though I did pretty good on water.

www.dammitall.com , I was using the 3500+ NC when I wrote my fishtank bit.
