How should I upgrade?

I am currently running on a HP P6 2060UK series desktop and I am going to upgrade from the currently installed Nvidia GT530 to a GTX 670 what else should I upgrade, without spending a lot to get good performance. Spec; 6GB of RAM (Motherboard can only hold 8), 1.5TB 5200RPM HDD, Intel i5 2400K processor @ 3.1GHz and I am going to upgrade to a 750W PSU, my mother board has a Gen 2.0 PCI Express slot so I think it will hold my GTX. Any help appreciated, full spec here:

Get an SSD. It will be the most meaningful update. The other stuff wont translate into much (a 680 is a better card, but not by much), the CPU could be updated but thats kind of expensive. You could improve the cooling and OC the CPU if the board allows this (which is unlikely on an OEM board).

So pretty much, the cheapest path is get an SSD and then use the drive you have as a storage drive. The Hard drive is the most "lacking" component. :D

No, you have a HDD (hard disk drive) which uses spinning platters. SSDs are a newer thing which use chips to store the data in (like a giant memory card), which have many times the speed (both access time and reading speed).

It effects system performance by making disk speed much much faster. Also things like virtual memory files will have better acess times. It just generally makes everything much smoother.
 
I'd make sure your board will accept the "upgrades" before purchasing them.
 
An ssd will NOT improve gaming.
The game will load faster, but while you are playing the game it will not actually be faster.

An ssd will just make your boot time, games and applications loading times, and doing things in windows faster. Basically clicking open an application right after boot will be snappy etc. It's a nice to have item, but if you are only concerned about gaming performance you don't need one.

Your computer specs look good, the PSU is fine, memory is ok, although you could swap a 2 GB for a 4 GB stick. I would run a game and see what your memory usage is, you are probably actually just fine, but if you start to approach 90% I would upgrade that.

The only other point you may want to consider is the physical dimensions of your case and the card. It looks like that motherboard is pretty small so make sure the card can physically fit in the case.
 
I've been using a 512gb ssd for a while, but also have a 2TB spinner installed but never use it. Well yesterday I created a win8 virtualbox image on the spinner, and after 30 minutes I wanted to punch my computer screen ... the spinner hdd is SO SLOW, and it clicks like crazy! Ahh, how soon we forget things. I moved the vm image over to the ssd. I need another 512gb ssd ...
 
I am having a problem that I was wondering if anyone could help with, it is with my HP and it is that according to my computer my cpu fan can not be detected all cables are connected and I have not fiddled with my PC does anyone know the problem or how to fix it?

If it ain't broke don't fix it ... but you could peek inside and see that all the fans are spinning. The cpu fan may not be plugged into the "cpu fan header", or it may not have a sensing wire. It's not entirely surprising if so. Or your monitoring program might not be reading the motherboard correctly (if you're not looking at numbers in the bios). Is there actually a problem? (Crashing PC, low MHz, corruption, etc.)
