Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
My 9700 Pro lost a heatsink and I am going to redo all the heatsinks with quality thermal goo. How do I remove the adhesive that is already on there? If I shave it off I think I will make the surface uneven.
razor blade?? shave?? hmmm i used a hairdryer on it until it got really hot and then i just wiped it off with coffee filter and rubbing alcohol (worked like a charm and the heatsink surface was just as smooth). i was able to reuse the heatsink afterwards (applied AS on it) but the bad thing was that my fingers were raw afterwards
