Definitely Bi-oss.

OS "ten"? Blegh. Everyone I know says O S X.

As for .gif, I say "giff" because the j sound is more associated with .jpg, which I say "jay-peg"

Here's a toughie, how does everyone say .png?

I've been thinking "peng" or "p-neg" but I really have no idea.

It'll always be A-sus in my book. A-sooos just sounds plain retarded.

I feel like slapping people when they call it "kash-ay"

i usually say "Cash", but the proper pronounciation actually IS "Kash-ay" (every old computer book i have has the pronounciation this way)

I used to always call linux line-ux but now that I use it every once and a while (when I'm bored or if I'm at school and I can't get around the filter, then I use a Knoppix boot disc) I know pronounce it correctly as lin-ux. I used to mess up cache but once I actualy heard someone on the all-mighty TV say it, I switched to cash.

Why don't we call IEEE just firewire instead of AIEEEEEEE!!!!? Save us alot of hassles and funny looks :p

IEEE 1394 is firewire. IEEE is a standards organization responsible for a ton of shit. and it's pronounced I tripple E. ask any electrical engineer ;)

They better tell that to every dictionary. It's just an adaptation of the meaning of a word, hell it didn't need much adapting even. It's a hidey place!

Stupid old computer books trying to be special and different.

Why take it so trouble when you can just call it "FIREWIRE" then I E E E thriteen nine four?? they are the same (except 4 or 6 pin config and 400/800Mbps speed)

For EISA.. I dont want to be laughed few years ago so i pronounce it as Enhanced-I S A :p

Generally, when i talk to Mac people, I call it i.Link. It really pisses them Off.

for EISA, a few of us usually have said this:
EISA "ee-suh"
ISA "Eye-suh"
VESA "Vay-suh"
MCA we always called Microchannel... damn geeks.
