Hogwarts Legacy

Всем привет. Нужна помощь. Я делаю Garlic 2 и застрял в пещере. Я вернулся к своему последнему сохранению и все еще не могу выйти. Двери, которые закрылись после моста и больше не открываются. Что может быть сделано? я играю на пс5
gonna need to put that through a translator, this is an english forum, rule 17..

Hi all. Help is needed. I'm doing Garlic 2 and I'm stuck in a cave. I went back to my last save and still can't exit. Doors that closed after the bridge and no longer open. What can be done? i play on ps5

I fired this up over the weekend after taking a break from RE4. Really need game, but man did it turn into a performance dog once I got to the school. I assumed it was mostly RT related, but it kinda didn't even matter what settings I chose. Lots of microstutter, pausing, and choppiness in general.

Hit up the Steam forums and a guy actually provided me with a hell of a tip. If anyone is playing this on the PC, give it a shot!

"Install NVIDIA Profile Inspector 2.4.03. Under where it says profiles, type in hogwarts legacy. Scroll down to the section, 5 - Common. Under this section find the three settings, rBAR - Feature, rBAR- Options, rBAR - Size Limit, change these three to the following, Enabled, 0x00000001, and 0x0000000040000000. Apply changes, and enjoy a now stutter free experience."

You running 4K? I had some hiccups going from 1080p to 1440p but I had them sorted by updating NV drivers.

Yup, always. Using the latest Nvidia drivers, too. It would look great and run wonderfully one second and would turn into a stutterfest the next. Hogsmeade was my breaking point - it was borderline unplayable.
I applied what that guy suggested and it seems to be fine now.

Does HL have a display for frames per second, how much video RAM you use and the like?

Nothing built-in, but I'd assume tools like Afterburner/RTSS and such work okay. The Steam forums are especially loaded with performance issues, so I don't know if it's a particularly polished game on the PC. Either way, the Nvidia Inspector tweaks fixed my issues.

What is this potty game. Every time I am on a mission to do main quest there is some random side quest I need to fulfill. Now I need to find some thingamajig and try it on some rando enemies before it will let me progress. However, I have no clue where to find that trash. Also every quest is a fetch quest and it is tiresome. Go there, kill some baddies, come back and get thanks and some coin which is worthless as in 5 mins you will have better gear anyways.

I am not quite sure why the nerds were jizzing their pants so hard. Really trying my best to finish this POS but the game just doesn't let me! Arrrgh!

Skip the side quests then... or just quit, why force yourself through a game you don't like?

Guys, I can have an opinion on a forum. Game is decent but this artificial gating is what is pissing me off.
Those quests are marked as "assignments" or side quests.

Fine, I will read a walkthrough.

🤣 lol not really but I can’t keep reading a walkthrough just to understand what the game wants me to do.

Now that I can actually play this, I'd say it's interesting. It feels like fans of the franchise will love all the detail they put into everything. I liked the original books and the Universal Studios attractions, so I mostly appreciate those things. Yet as a game, it feels like a never ending series of fetch quests and pressing the "reveal" button over and over. Mostly for cosmetic stuff and little paragraphs about locations and whatnot. The action-based gameplay is actually pretty good, but it's underused so far. Hopefully I get to some more of the "real game" soon.

Used a walkthrough to understand wtf was required. Needless busy work. Also most quests are so short. I am going to finish this garbage pronto.

Having a real hard time getting into this game, i get the sentiment for HP franchise, but it's so meh to me. The game isn't really all that fun, and the story is awful.

I dropped it after 30 hours, probably halfway thru the campaign. Not likely to go back and finish.
Game feels like it was made for HP fans / non-gamers.

That's pretty much what I'm noticing. It's strange because the combat and spellcasting seem to be well fleshed-out. Yet 99% of the time I'm just collecting random stuff...for reasons.

I did the same thing. So much of it just feels like busywork to waste time. For instance the "unlock" minigame is 100% awful and they expect you to do it for every locked door. The Merlin trials are 4 different 'puzzles' that consist of either shooting stationary orbs, escorting butterflies, jumping on rocks, and something else that I can't even remember now. The main quest is decent but I think there are a lot of players that get caught in the trap of "I'm here and there are a bunch of side things to do so I'll do them first" and then get burnt out because of how low quality those side activities are. Hogwarts Legacy has some of the worst side content that I can recall in any game.

It gets repetitive, combat to. I still found it mostly amusing. The mini Pokemon aspect with the animals to upgrade gear was outright annoying. You can partially automate that by buying something, I figured that out way too late in the game.

I did the second trial. I see the walkthrough says I have 10 missions left. If they are as short as the ones I have already played then I will power through. But yes, the game is garbage.
I will finish it because at least it is playable and my character is called James Bond. Bond always finishes the mission.

I forgot about the creature capturing. I did it for the main quest and then once again for some other quest. Never again. The itemization / stat is also really bad with the crafting requiring you to do a bunch of monotonous BS to unlock the rune things and grind the mats. I guess there are mods to do things like remove the Merlin trial cutscenes, remove the unlock minigame, as well as fix other annoyances but I was already burnt out and disappointed by then and never went back.

Hit last mission. Seems like I am underpowered as I didn’t learn many spells and my gear is also not leveled up. About to destroy Ragnarok’s happiness.

Game was painful but glad I am going to finish it. Not going to bother with the sides. Seems like there is a whole world that I ignored as the distances in some of the final quests are huge. However, I just rushed and didn’t bother attacking castles, poachers, goblins etc. Just skipped through most of it.

I think after the ending I will give this game a solid 5/10. And all points are for lore and the first 5 mins when combat seemed it would be exciting.

I did the side quests, those are generally fun enough. But the end of the map becomes more or less extra space with harder encounters. I suppose it isn't awful because if you enjoyed the game it just had more and tougher enemies to fight which you can do a bit post game. But there is a distinct lack of story content in the bottom of the map. It is more bland, generic enemy camps to fight. The good news is you can fly across it quickly if you don't enjoy fighting enemies much.

Leveling up feels pointless since the enemies appear to scale with you. Enemies take the same number of hits and do the same amount of damage to me now (level 21) vs. when I was level 10. I figured I'd be way OP'd since I did all the side stuff early, and it has made 0 difference with anything. Ditto with my clothing. I honestly like the combat, but the scaling system kinda ruins it.

they scale up to your level but they also have zones. upgrading your clothes fully and upgrading your talents makes you "op".

interesting how at release people were going nuts about the game...now a few weeks later people are saying it's not all that great...seems to me like it faithfully recreates the Potter universe so you really need to be a hard core Potter nut to appreciate all the little details...too many people seem to buy games without reading reviews...the game sounds exactly like what the reviews made it out to be

Pretty much. I mean I'm pretty used to this stuff. As in the "open world" game that really translates to go to hubs, do side quests, and eventually finish the decent enough main plot.

Kind of reminds me of when I played Kingdom of Amalur, though this game has more flair. I think more rpg aspects would have really served well.

As someone who went in knowing very little about the Potterverse, the beginning of the game when you're running around and getting lost in the castle is pretty great and the forest and Hogsmeade are cool as well. The problem IMO is everything outside of those areas and the low quality filler that makes Ubisoft's open world content look great by comparison.

I think there's a lot to like about the game. I think they got too wrapped up in trying to include every detail that would get the fans going. Well, that and going absolute ham with chests, merlin challenges, journal pages, locked doors, etc. Ubisoft games tend to sell well, and they usually don't suck, so they just went all-in with the same formula.

With the level scaling (regardless of where I am in the world, apparently), combat seems to be all about special attacks. It's actually very much like the last couple Assassin's Creed games. Normal attacks do zero damage (except every 4th hit), so I'm just trying to time my special attacks to fire one after another so they recharge in the right cadence. Rolling around and special attacks.

Yeah, more school interaction would have really taken the cake. I think they played it a tad too safe by going sort of generic open world with a better than usual setting.

Here's to hoping they get more ambitious with a sequel.

you mean spells, like a wizard or a witch would use? that would be the point... its also explained that you usually have to do one of the spells first before normal attacks do damage. it also teaches you how to chain it all together...
