HIS Radeon 5670? Should i get it ????

For around $150 and free ship Newegg offers the 5770's with a lot more gaming power and a little bit more future proofing for you. A 5670 in an i7 computer seems to me to be a bit under powered.

really trying to keep the cost down below 100. I know it seems silly but the i7 power is more for VMs than gaming

No offense, but if you can't afford to spend another $50 you don't have any business buying an i7....

Not worth it. The significantly faster HD 4850 1GB can be had for $20 more:

We're talking a huge difference here between the two cards. Only $10 more over your budget.

EDIT: For $90, the 9800GT is a better buy than the HD 5670:

So either way, the HD 5670 is not a good buy.

I would think you would be able to find someone trying to sell a 5770 somewhere for around $100. Seems like $100 for a used 5770 is not unreasonable.

I do know you can find a 4870 512mb used on the forums for under $100. I spose it all depends on how hard you are willing to look and if you want used hardware.

I just looked for 5 minutes:

4870 for $105 shipped:

4850 for $80 shipped:

GTS250 1GB for $85 shipped:

i can afford it but am currently in the middle of moving so money is a little tighter than usual for the next few weeks

I wouldn't get it from HiS , they have pretty horrible warranty service and I've seen more than a few posters here experience it directly.

yea...still a bit new to the whole forum buying but i said hell cant beat the prices.

lookin at a few of the HD 5xxx series

This is [H] ... we look down on low end hardware :)

The 5670 is a nice card, but I would take a 9800GT over it any day.
