so, after 9xx days of RC5-72, the project has still not exhausted even 1% of the keyspace, which got me thinking: Computer security is great, but it appears that there are better things to do with my wasted CPU cycle, like FaH.

The client is now installed on my work machine (I have permission)... time to change my machines over. How do I get a hardfolding account?
 
You can simply goto hardfolding.com and register. Once your machine turns a WU you will show up in the stats. Welcome aboard!! Happy to have you!

That is the link the the hf.com registration page. You'll have a member page then, you'll get stats pages once your first WU turns in and you'll also be able to add your badge as well. :D

I'd recommend taking a look at our FAQ's:http://www.hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=905909 as they have great information on setting up some of the advanced options with folding, and how to monitor it, and how to get your badge!

You don't actually have to "register" to be considered part of the team. All you have to do is specify team 33 when you set up F@H. Registering on hardfolding.com lets you do lots of other cool things, but your stats will still show up there, even if you haven't created an account.
 
Just a little OT, but why not put the CORRECT spellings in your sig rather than the wrong ones? People are likely to see those and think "Oh, that's how it's spelled!".

thanks for catching that one and for the warm welcome.. I just finished one or more WU's not showing up in the stats though, i guess that will take a while?!

It can take a couple hours until the next update of the stats.

And it appears that he's not going to be there even then. Since Level 3 and Cogent were "fighting" today, they seemed to have brought down stanford in the process. Which means no one got points this last update. :eek:

My son walked into the room as this pic was showing and he immediately said, "How cute." :D

 
He's 5.

And his "sorta" boxen is folding. Just happens to be under my name of course.

Although I wasn't able to do it this year because of circumstances that came up, he will get his own boxen next year. Besides, I have a dire need to upgrade.
