First, I'd like to say that I'm new here and I appreciate the help! I'm a total noob and this will be the first computer I'm going to build :eek:

1) What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming? Photoshop? Web browsing? etc
This is will be a Gaming computer. I could possible look at some videos online (such at tv shows, series, movies) but this computer will MAINLY be for gaming.
2) What's your budget? Are tax and shipping included?
My budget is more or less 1k.
3) Which country do you live in? If the U.S, please tell us the state and city if possible.
Canada, Quebec, Montreal
4) What exact parts do you need for that budget? CPU, RAM, case, etc. The word "Everything" is not a valid answer. Please list out all the parts you'll need.
COMPUTER:
Case
Power Supply (PSU)
Case Fan(s)
Motherboard
Processor (CPU)
CPU Cooler/Heatsink with Fan (HSF) (WHICH ONE IS BETTER? / CHEAPER)
Memory (RAM)
Hard Drive (HDD)
Optical (Disc) Drive (CD/DVD/HD-DVD/BR)
Video/Graphics Card (GPU)
Sound Card
OS : Windows 7?
PERIPHERALS/OTHER ACCESSORIES :
Keyboard
Mouse

I'm basically building a computer from A to Z.. So let me know if I'm missing something..

5) If reusing any parts, what parts will you be reusing? Please be especially specific about the power supply. List make and model.
None
6) Will you be overclocking?
I don't think so, if I'm not mistaken, I'll be using fans.
7) What is the max resolution of your monitor? What size is it?
My monitor is a Acer H233H. It's 23 inches and it's resolution is 1,920x1,080 pixels. It can be seen here if you'd like some more information http://reviews.cnet.com/lcd-monitors/acer-h233h/4505-3174_7-33529135.html
8) When do you plan on building/buying the PC?
This summer, mid-end of it to be more precise. Although it depends on how fast I'll have my money and other minor things.
9) What features do you need in a motherboard? RAID? Firewire? Crossfire or SLI support? USB 3.0? SATA 6Gb/s? eSATA? Onboard video (as a backup or main GPU)? UEFI? etc.
I am sad to say that I have no idea what these are...
10) Do you already have a legit and reusable/transferable OS key/license? If yes, what OS? Is it 32bit or 64bit?
No

Thanks!

Did I do something wrong T_T?
"Quebec" :p

Come back when you are closer to buying. The best parts and prices could change significantly in a couple months.

It's only been two hours. Aren't we a little impatient?

In any case, no point in planning a build now since our parts recommendations can change in a month to as little as a week. So 2-3 months from now, there's a good chance the build will be different.

So please come back when you're 2-3 weeks away from buying the PC parts to start planning the build. No point in planning earlier than that unless you feel like constantly updating your build list every week. That's gonna be your best bet for a solid up-to-date build list.

Alright, thanks.. good to know! To be honest, I've got no date planned to build it. It will just depend on how fast I can manage to get the money!

I just had two questions that I wanted to ask:
1) where can I find out what question 9 means -_-.. I feel dumb :/
2) is 1k enough to have a good gaming computer?

Wikipedia.

Also, read HardOCP.com's motherboard reviews too.
2) is 1k enough to have a good gaming computer?

Since you're in Canada where the prices are a little higher and as long as you don't expect max settings, $1000 is just about enough for a good gaming PC.
