Hey all, I was here about a month ago, asking advice on building my own rig. Well, you all helped out a lot, and ended up with a nice system for the price i was wanting.

anyway, on to the part where I need help.

I come home from work last night, jump on the pc, getting ready to play bad company 2, and the computer wont start up. It will try to come on, all the fan leds light up, and the fans themselves start to spin, but only for a second or two, then it shuts down. and tries to start again. I start to inspect and see whats up when i notice a little bit of some sort of liquid (what i assume is water at the time) on the top of my case, next to the fan. I do a little more investigating and i see what seems like water on the wall next to computer but has been smeared like someone tried to cover up their spill. (its morning now and its still there and sticky, so im guessing it's coke or something now) But anyway, not much made it into the system itself, but I'm guessing what did make it in was enough to do the damage.
Is there a process i can do to determine what parts are good and what parts didnt make it?
when i try to turn it on, the motherboard's leds light up, and the cpu fans that draw power from the motherboard attempt to come on as well. so it seems that power is still coming through the mobo, dunno if this can still happen or not if mobo gets fried. but anyway, a little push in the right direction of how i can figure out what is still working and what to replace would be very helpful. Thanks everyone and talk to you soon.

have been trying to get hold of someone who has compatible parts with me, have been unlucky so far. looks like im going to have to do this with the parts i have currently if it is at all possible.

a little bit got on the gpu. as well as other parts. but i have been able to find many articles on how to clean mobo and stuff (already test psu and it's still working)
so, what would be the best way to clean the gpu of the coke spill for the best chance of it working again.

also...i do believe it was on with this happened.not sure as i wasnt home at the time.
but since no one told me about it first, i came home and tried to boot a couple times before realizing something bad had happened.
