Help with x-fi creative remote!

So I just purchased the x-fi fatality platinum from another [H] member and everything is working fine. However, I have vista so all the drivers and software were basically junk to help. After searching around ont he internet I came across the support site http://support.creative.com/Product...odName=X-Fi+Platinum+Fatal1ty+Champion+Series and downloaded the top 3 support drivers and programs. Now I have all the programs and stuff set up correctly and it sounds great.

However, the remote I can't seem to get it to work. Do I need a certain plugin? Do I need to install another program or something? How do I get this to work? Remote is called RM-1800.

Btw, I'm running Vista Ultimate 32 bit. Help greatly appreciated.

You probably need to install some of the additional Creative apps that came on the CD, same thing happened to me w/my Audigy.

Is there any way I can get to those apps and install them? I can't just simply install it because it won't self install on vista.

check out the creative website. they should have the programs you need.

Alright, I found all the programs and installed the ones I couldn't before with compatibility mode. Now, the problem is that when I start Creative Entertainment Center it doesn't read the remote. Has anyone else had this problem? Could I have installed the front IO bay incorrectly?

Lol, I feel so silly now. I never plugged the power into the front bay.

Now everything works flawlessly and is amazing.
