Help with COD2 multiplayer

its been a while since i had played Cod2 multiplayer, when i go to servers there arent any to choose from, so its like nobody else is playing online. what could be the problem with this? My internet and connection are working great, any suggestions?
 
by default the list in the server browser is LAN only, make sure its set to internet.

Also check rules on any firewall that may be in place. Also make sure you are patched to version 1.3
 
so yea .. today i sit down to play a little CoD2 like i did yesterday but today i'm greeted w/ 300-600 pings and no less across the board

updated everything ... reset everything.... etc... etc... nothing helps
