Help with choosing a power supply

Ok guys, here's my actual component:

I7 860
8GB ddr3
GTX 260
1 x Samsung F3 1TB
1 x DVD writer

NO OVERCLOCK!

These are the models I was looking at, but I'm not sure if they will be able to handle the components:

OCZ Stealth Extreme 500W
Corsair 450VX

These have all a great price, but I don't know if 450/500W will be enough.

I'm just wondering on why you are only choosing between these 2 power supplies? Are they the only choices you have?
 
Out of those two, the VX450 would be the better choice. The StealthXStream is a mediocre PSU and you should avoid it if possible. Since you won't be overclocking, the VX450 will be plenty for your PC.
 
the gtx 260 requires 36amp minimum, and the corsair 450w only has 33amps.
 
Corsair 450 will be fine. No video card uses anywhere NEAR 36 amps. That would be 432 watts! That recommendation is to help shrug off people buying $10 "600W" PSUs.

nVidia's recommended +12V amperage for a system with a GTX260 is 36A, but that is well above the actual required power for such a system. Total power consumption of the OP's system will be at most about 250-300W under load since he will not be overclocking.
