I am curently piecing a computer together curent state socket 939 4400 x2, 2 gig of ram, 7800gt, 4 case fans, cd driver, 1 seagate 320 gb hard drive. im wondering i have an Antec 350 watt Basiq PSU will this be enough power for this rig or what would you recommend? Also the comp has no case lights or n e thing else running off of the PSU. Any comments or help would be great Thanx ALOT!!
 
Antec makes fine power supplies, some are even capable of running consistently at load for large periods of time. It would help to know what you plan on using this build for. The 7800GT recommends a 400w PSU with at least one 12v rail capable of 20A, I believe, so you're really pushing the limits of even a good Antec 350w PSU. You can find some excellent 400-500w power supplies online in the $50 or less range that would give you more peace of mind. I doubt your Basiq 350w has a 12v rail capable of providing the additional power needed by that card. Hope this helps.

I made a mistake in my first post the video card is actually a 6800gs we were just testing a 7800gt an i was looking at it while typing not actually thinking. so ya everything will be the same but with a 6800gs will the antec 350w basiq be ok?
