Hello everyone.

I am looking to build a new pc after my most recent PC's motherboard crashed on me. :(

I am going to use most of my old pc parts on the crashing motherboard and use those on the new pc. I was looking to spend about $400 on Ram, Motherboard and processor.

Currenly the processor I'm looking to get is a bit old, "Intel Pentium 4 - 3.4Ghz." which is about $95.

I need a good Motherboard and Overclockable ram.

I want the ram to be ddr2 and a good motherboard.

Any suggestions from an expert would be a great help..

I like the dual core, but the one you picked it fine too, just swap it out with the one below.

I second the gigabyte 965P-DS3... or you can save even more and get the 965P-S3, pretty much the same board the DS3 uses different capaciters. The board overclocks like crazy. I just used it for my second build and am overly impressed. Only drawback is no firewire, which I haven't ever had a need for. And I found it extremely difficault trying to setup Raid on. Ended up selling my 2 drives and going with a single HD.

save up a little more

and get:
G.Skill ram --- $175
Gigabyte S3 - $105
C2D 4300 ---- $160 - will be cheaper soon

$440
